All those members
wishing to attend the obedience classes will be
more than welcome, together with any one wishing to join.
Anyone who purchased a puppy and would like to learn more about the Boxer and socialize their puppies
are welcome to attend. If you wish to participate you must be a Club Member, but you may join on the day.
The Boxer Association conduct a Boxer Obedience School and encourages all Boxer owners to take
part in some obedience training with their Boxers.

AND RUNNING UNTIL DECEMBER EACH YEAR.

Our location is off High Street, Ashburton, between Glen Eira and Summerhill Road, turn south into Victor Road, right
into Albion Road and finally left into Saxby Road. The car park is off Saxby Road or you can approach the area from Francis Crescent.
NB: NO training ANY SUNDAY if the Saturday night forecast is for 30 degrees or more.

OBEDIENCE MEMBERS COMPETITIONS
We held our last Obedience competition in December 2005....At great day had by all, although a rather small turn-out.

Congratulations to Kelly Zuc who was Best in Trial and achieved the only qualifying score.
Most of us have a lot of work to do on our heeling, especially getting our dogs to do good and consistent sits, as well as the Sit and Down stays.

LURE COURSING FUN DAYS
We have held Lure Coursing Days at the Obedience grounds on two past occasions.

What is Lure Coursing?
The equipment used is quite simple and consists of 300 metres of fishing line strung around several pulleys set into the ground to form the course. A plastic bag is tied to the line and is powered around the pulleys by a battery operated motor. The operator can stop the lure at anytime and can change direction as well.
Lure coursing gives your dog the opportunity to do what comes naturally...to chase, sniff the ground, jump, pivot and chase again!!!
Your dog will love it and you will enjoy watching your special friend do it too. Everyone has a ball.
